Turning an Annual Report into a flagship document

Client
Imperial College London is Europe’s leading university for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business (STEMB).

Brief
The university recently underwent a brand redesign, and the Annual Report was the first opportunity to create a flagship publication that showcased the new brand while broadening awareness of its strategy: Science for Humanity.

Approach
Our approach was to design the document in two parts. The first implemented the new brand toolkit and featured Imperial’s evocative research photography, highlighting the breadth of its achievements. The second provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s financial health, operational performance and strategy.

Outcome
The annual report has been used both as a showcase of Imperial’s achievements and as a leading example of the new brand in action.
